Silver Saddle offers accessible, non-riding experiences for older adults and community groups who want to spend meaningful time with animals in a welcoming working barn.

Programs are structured and supportive, with flexibility for different interests and energy levels. No prior experience with animals is required.

What Participants Experience

Each visit is guided and thoughtfully paced, with activities adapted to the group.

Visits may include:

  • Meeting horses and miniature horses

  • Gentle grooming and hands-on interaction

  • Visiting with dogs and small animals

  • Learning about animal care and behavior

  • Comfortable places to sit, talk, and observe

Depending on the group, visits may also include:

  • Art sessions inspired by the animals and gardens

  • Seasonal crafts and hands-on projects

  • Informal talks about horses and animal care

  • Guest speakers or small-group presentations

  • Book or story discussions

  • Game or movie gatherings

  • Concerts or small performances
