Annual Silver Saddle Stables membership is renewed automatically every year.

Silver Saddle Stables is a welcoming, animal-centered space in the Glendale/Burbank Rancho where people come to learn, connect, and spend time with horses and dogs.
Built on the legacy of Silver Spur Stables, we continue a long tradition of horsemanship in the Rancho while creating new opportunities for learning, wellbeing, and community for all ages.
Our programs are organized into four pathways:
> Horse Basics & Horsemanship: Introductory experiences that build confidence and foundational skills through grooming, groundwork, and beginning riding.
> Horse-Partnered Learning & Wellbeing: Guided, relationship-based experiences that support self-awareness, communication, and emotional regulation through interaction with horses.
> Canine Care & Training: Daycare, boarding, grooming, and enrichment programs designed to support dogs’ health, behavior, and wellbeing.
> Community & Experiential Programs: School visits, group programs, and special events that bring people together through hands-on learning with animals.
Silver Saddle brings together high-quality animal care, thoughtful design, and meaningful programming in a way that’s rare especially in an urban setting.
Every aspect of the facility has been intentionally created to support both animal and human wellbeing. From 16 in-and-out stalls and a dedicated teaching arena to inviting community spaces and a fully equipped meeting area, the environment allows for hands-on learning, connection, and a wide range of shared experiences.
Horse and dog programs are carefully managed in separate areas to ensure safety and calm for all animals, while the overall design supports everything from individual sessions to workshops, events, and community gatherings.
The result is a space that feels both purposeful and welcoming—where people can connect with animals, with each other, and with the life of the barn.
We are in the final stages of bringing the space to life, and aiming for a Grand Opening in late May. Tap “Join Our Journey” on the website for a behind-the-scenes look as Silver Saddle takes shape, along with early access to Grand Opening details and program announcements.

We already have a strong team in place and are thoughtfully adding a few key roles as we prepare to open.
If you have experience working with horses, a commitment to their health and wellbeing, and enjoy supporting people of all ages, we’d love to hear from you. Please reach out to introduce yourself and share your experience.
Yes. To ensure the safety, comfort, and overall fit for each dog, we require an initial evaluation prior to joining daycare or boarding programs. This allows our team to understand your dog’s temperament, social style, and needs, and to determine the most appropriate setting for a positive experience.
No. For safety and animal wellbeing, dog activities and horse programs are managed separately. This allows us to create calm, controlled environments for each, ensuring the comfort and safety of both animals and participants.
Not at this time. Our horses are dedicated program partners and are carefully selected and trained to support our educational, therapeutic, and wellbeing experiences.
At this stage, we are intentionally prioritizing how the facility is used to best support the horses, participants, and program. As we continue to grow, we will explore boarding options that align with our mission, available space, and program needs.
Silver Saddle programs are grounded in relationship-based learning, where working with horses builds confidence, awareness, and connection. We offer two complementary pathways: horsemanship and horse-partnered learning experiences.
Our horsemanship program provides a supportive introduction to working with horses, emphasizing safety, proper use of tack, and a deeper understanding of the horse. It’s designed to build a strong foundation—whether your goals include trail riding or continuing on with a trainer in a specific discipline.
Our educational and wellness programs draw from the principles of equine-assisted learning, engaging horses as partners in experiences that strengthen self-awareness, communication, and connection through guided, hands-on interaction, either from the ground or on the horse’s back.
Not at all. Our programs are designed for individuals with little or no prior experience around horses.
Safety is at the core of everything we do. All programming follows best practices aligned with PATH International (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International) standards for safety, humane horsemanship, and animal welfare.
Activities are thoughtfully adapted to meet each participant’s needs, experience level, and readiness.
Horses act as responsive learning partners, offering real-time, nonverbal feedback through their sensitivity to body language, energy, and attention. This creates a structured, experiential environment where participants can build awareness, regulation, and communication skills.
Because horses respond consistently and without judgment, individuals can engage at their own pace, develop confidence, and build skills through facilitated mindful interactions.
No. While this work may support therapeutic goals, Silver Saddle programs are not clinical therapy. They are structured, relationship-based learning experiences that complement therapeutic or educational support.
When appropriate, we collaborate with therapists and other professionals to align with each participant’s goals.
Horse-partnered wellbeing experiences are guided sessions for individuals or groups that create space to step out of habitual patterns and engage more directly in the present. Working with horses makes it possible to see and shift what’s often difficult to access through conversation alone, opening ways of navigating challenges and creating new opportunities.
Contact our team to share your goals, group size, and scheduling needs. We’ll work with you to design a session that aligns with your shared focus or interest and ensures a meaningful, well-supported experience.
We partner with therapists to integrate equine-assisted sessions in ways that complement and extend your clinical work.
You may choose to attend sessions with your clients or refer them to participate in guided horse-partnered experiences. For therapists interested in offering services onsite, Silver Saddle provides the horse and an equine specialist, while you maintain your role as the licensed clinician
